Change in the Vaillant Group Management Board

Remscheid, 15 December 2023 - After almost nine years of very successful work as Managing Director Sales, Marketing and Service of the Vaillant Group, Dr Andree Groos (50) has decided to leave the company on 31 December 2023. The Supervisory Board of the Vaillant GmbH has appointed Dr Andreas Meier (55), previously President Region Europe of the BSH Hausgeräte Group, as his successor.

Dr Andree Groos started his career at the Vaillant Group in 2002 as Assistant to the Management Board. Since then, he has held various management positions in the company. Among other things, he was responsible for sales, marketing and customer service in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In October 2015, he was appointed Managing Director Sales, Marketing and Service of the Vaillant Group. Under Dr Groos' leadership, the Vaillant Group was able to further expand its leading global market position in modern gas heating systems. At the same time, Dr Groos has made a significant contribution to the transformation of the company into one of the three largest suppliers of electric heat pumps in Europe.

The Supervisory Board would like to thank Dr Groos for his outstanding work and wishes him all the best both professionally and personally.

Dr Andreas Meier will continue Dr Groos' successful work from January 2024 and further drive ahead the Vaillant Group's development as a leading supplier of climate-friendly heating systems in Europe. Dr Meier has many years of international sales and marketing experience. At the BSH Hausgeräte Group, the European market leader for household appliances, Dr Meier very successfully managed various global business divisions and regional organisations in Germany, Thailand, the USA and the UK. Most recently, he was responsible for the region Europe of the BSH Hausgeräte Group as Spokesman of the Board and reported directly to the company's Management Board.
