The Vaillant heat pump campaign around the old Swede Åke has been awarded the Effie in Gold for effective brand communication. The prize is considered the Oscar of the advertising and communication industry.
On 14 November 2019, the official award ceremony took place in Frankfurt / Main, Germany, where Vaillant received the golden Effie from the German Association of Communications Agencies (GWA).
A total of ten submissions were awarded a golden Effie this year. In addition to Vaillant, campaigns by IKEA and DHL, among others, received a golden Effie.
The Effie has been awarded by the GWA in the advertising and communications industry for effectiveness in marketing communication in Germany since 1981. The prize was founded in 1968 in the United States by the New York American Marketing Association (NYAMA).
As of 1 November 2019 Stefan Hüttemeister will be the new Marketing Director of the Remscheid-based heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology specialist Vaillant Group. He will be responsible for the central marketing of the company with its eight brands.
The Vaillant GmbH Supervisory Board has appointed Ralph Jakobs as a managing director of the company with effect from 1 November 2019. Ralph Jakobs will be succeeding Dr.-Ing. Norbert Schiedeck as Managing Director Technology.

The World Climate Conference stops off at the Vaillant Group. This was revealed by an international study conducted by Vaillant, in cooperation with the market research institute TNS Infra-test. A total of 13,500 people from 13 countries were asked about their eco-friendly behaviour for the study.

The Remscheid-based heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technology specialist Vaillant Group achieved sales revenues in financial year 2014 of €2.33 billion (2013: €2.38 billion). In a difficult market environment, the sales development was thus about 2 per cent below the previous year, although adjusted for currency exchange effects the sales matched the previous year’s level.
