Klaus König to be new Managing Director Industrial of the Vaillant Group

The Vaillant GmbH Supervisory Board has appointed Klaus König as a managing director of the company with effect from 1 February 2022. He will take over the Industrial Division from Dr.-Ing. Norbert Schiedeck, who has been heading this division since 1 January 2021 on a transitional basis in addition to his function as Chairman of the Management Board of the Vaillant Group.

Klaus König (52) is an experienced executive manager with a broad range of expertise relevant to the Industrial Division. After studying mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University, he joined Kautex Textron, a manufacturer of fuel systems for the automotive industry, as a trainee in 1997. There he held various management positions, initially as plant manager in Italy and Canada. He later took on responsibility for production, supply chain management, technical purchasing, quality and product development. In 2017, he moved to Kuka, a leading manufacturer of industrial robots. There, as Chief Operating Officer, he was initially responsible for the operational business, production and the supply chain of the pro-duct manufacturing sites. Since 2018, he has been Chairman of the Management Board of Kuka Deutschland GmbH with overall responsibility for the robot products business and project-related plant engineering.
