New heat pump models for new and existing buildings
Intelligent energy management for lower operating costs
New digital services for installers and end customers
Vaillant will be presenting a fully updated and expanded heat pump portfolio at the International Trade Fair for Sanitation and Heating (ISH). The new heat pumps have been developed for energy-efficient use in all types of buildings, both modernisation projects and new builds. Their outstanding features include very quiet operation, ease of use and simple installation. Vaillant offers its partner installers comprehensive support with a variety of new digital services – from customer service and the planning of heating systems to efficient remote support and optimisation over the Internet. End customers benefit from smart energy management solutions for their homes that can significantly reduce energy consumption and thus operating costs.
“As one of Europe’s leading suppliers, we offer each customer an energy-saving, customised and future-proof solution for their own property with our heat pumps,” says Dr Tillmann von Schroeter, Managing Director of Vaillant Germany. “Investing in a modern heat pump increases the value of a building. Property owners also gain greater independence from the rising cost of fossil fuels.”
Efficient heat pumps for all residential properties
The range of heat pumps presented by Vaillant at the ISH 2025 will include new air-water heat pumps and appliances harnessing geothermal energy as a renewable power source. The new heat pumps use the natural refrigerant R290. This refrigerant contains no health-damaging chemicals, is particularly environmentally friendly due to its low global warming potential and enables high flow temperatures. As a result, these heat pumps can provide convenient heating and hot water not only in new buildings, but also in older, less well insulated existing buildings. The heat pumps presented at the ISH are easy to install, with far greater flexibility in the setup process. The new geothermal heat pumps with natural refrigerant can be installed inside a building without any limitations. When setting up air-water heat pumps outside a building, there is now virtually no need to observe a safety zone. Vaillant offers a free five-year warranty on all new heat pump models.
aroTHERM series: efficient air-water heat pumps for all applications
Vaillant is expanding its range of air-water heat pumps with the new models in the aroTHERM series.
The aroTHERM perform heat pump with output sizes of 15 and 20 kW has been specially designed for use in large detached homes and apartment buildings.
Vaillant’s aroTHERM pro heat pump is a particuarly compact and space-saving model, designed to provide convenient heating in both new and upgraded buildings. The aroTHERM pro is available in three output sizes: 5, 7 and 11 kW.
The aroTHERM plus model, one of the best-selling heat pumps in Germany, has been substantially revised. Its greater efficiency compared to its predecessor translates into even lower operating costs for property owners. Furthermore, the new model is quieter than the forerunner product and comes in a revised design.
All aroTHERM models are equipped with safety features designed to minimise the restrictions previously associated with outdoor-unit installation, such as distances from basement windows and shafts. The heat pumps can therefore be used flexibly even in buildings where installation space is limited.
New brine-water heat pumps with natural refrigerant
The new geoTHERM exclusive and geoCOMPACT exclusive are the first indoor geothermal heat pumps from Vaillant that use the natural refrigerant R290. Thanks to an activated carbon box developed by Vaillant and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, there is no need for safety precautions such as exhaust pipes or leakage sensors in the installation room. This simplifies installation and saves both space and additional costs.
New electronic platform: easier operation, quick installation
The aroTHERM perform, geoTHERM exclusive and geoCOMPACT exclusive heat pumps are equipped with iQconnect, a completely newly developed electronic system with integrated control technology and a touch display designed for ease of use. For installers, iQconnect simplifies and speeds up the installation process, as it significantly reduces the effort required for wiring and commissioning. Installers can also access device functions in real time and install updates for new functions and optimised operation via an Internet interface. In the medium term, iQconnect will be available for all new Vaillant heat pumps.
Digital services for installers and smart energy management for end customers
As well as new heat pump models, Vaillant will also be showcasing a wide range of digital services for installers and end customers at the ISH.
The new ProjectPORTAL combines all digital applications for partner installers on a single platform and makes their daily work much easier. Additional Internet-based services from Vaillant support installers in the planning, installation and maintenance of heat pump systems.
End customers benefit from EnergyFORECAST, an application that calculates and compares the expected operating costs of various heating systems.
Continuous monitoring and optimisation of heat pump operation using OptimisationPLUS can save up to 15 per cent in energy and costs.
EnergyPLUS enables heat pump owners to reduce the operating costs of their system by optimising the use of self-generated photovoltaic electricity. Energy from the grid is used for the operation of the heat pump whenever dynamic electricity rates are available at a good price.
Vaillant will be presenting all its innovations at the ISH from 17 to 21 March 2025. You can find us at Booth E91 in Hall 12.1. Further details for media representatives can be found in Vaillant’s ISH Web Special at https://vai.vg/press-ish2025
