Green iQ: Vaillant presents a highly environmentally friendly and intelligent range of products

Vaillant sets new standards in sustainable, intelligent and high-efficiency products. The company is presenting its new generation of Green iQ appliances at the ISH industry trade fair in Frankfurt. Green iQ is shorthand for a range of extremely environmentally friendly and efficient products that live up to the highest sustainability credentials over their entire product life cycle – from the initial stage of development to being recycled after use. All Green iQ products are Wi-Fi-compatible and feature integrated interfaces. In addition to an intelligent control unit, this also enables remote troubleshooting of the appliance by skilled technicians. Furthermore, the appliances can be controlled conveniently and intuitively via smartphone from almost anywhere in the world. Green iQ also represents efficient manufacturing, the very best quality materials and excellent recyclability. They not only significantly reduce heating costs but also CO2 emissions. “Green is the new premium. Customer expectations with regard to the efficiency, sustainability and connectivity of products and production have been increasing for years. Green iQ is our response to these requirements. It has enabled us to set a new standard for sustainable, smart and future-proof heating technology,” says Dr Carsten Voigtländer, Chairman of the Vaillant Group Management Board.

The first product innovations from the Green iQ range include Vaillant’s wall-mounted gas-fired condensing boiler ecoTEC exclusive and the flexoTHERM exclusive heat pump. ecoTEC exclusive is characterised by its exceptional efficiency, flexibility, connectivity and an extensive package of services. In addition, ecoTEC exclusive can be fully operated using bio natural gas. A new, Internet-enabled control unit is integrated into the appliance, enabling straightforward heating control via smartphone.

flexoTHERM exclusive is Vaillant’s most environmentally friendly and efficient heat pump. The new range of heat pumps is quieter and more efficient than similar appliances on the market. Technical innovations, such as integrated domestic hot water, help to reduce heating costs significantly. Like all the Green iQ products, flexoTHERM exclusive is also Internet-enabled and can be controlled via smartphone. In combination with the control unit, flexoTHERM might even carry the energy efficiency label A+++ in future.

All Green iQ products can easily be retrofitted with new system components, such as photovoltaics or solar thermal systems. Further products to supplement the Green iQ range are already in development.
